What does Airbnb cost an Aruba host in 2026?
15.5 percent of the booking for most hosts, with some between 14 and 16. The split-fee model is being retired, so the host-only fee is on its way to everyone.
The change becomes mandatory on 15 September 2026 outside the EEA, and on 13 October 2026 in the EEA and Switzerland. Aruba sits in the first group. A guest who came back and booked you directly pays you the same and costs you nothing.

How many vacation rentals am I competing with in Aruba?
VRBO lists 3,497 properties for the island and one third-party tracker puts Airbnb near 4,100. Neither is an audited count, but the scale is the point: being findable matters more, not less.
Can I take direct bookings and stay on the platforms?
Yes. Keep the listings for reach. What changes is that a returning guest, or someone searching for exactly the villa you own, has a way to reach you that does not carry a fee.
What happens in September and October when nobody comes?
Those are the two quietest months on the island and off-peak rates run roughly 40 percent below peak. Visibility you own keeps producing enquiries in those weeks and does not stop the day a budget is paused.
Is there a minimum term?
No contract and no minimum. It is month to month, it stops at the end of any month, and the page, the profile and the guest list stay with you.
