UTV and off-road rental leads in Aruba

If your UTVs and jeeps sell through an activity platform, that channel can take 20 to 30 percent of the seat, and 30 percent is the default rate for a new operator. A booking that arrives on your own phone costs you none of it.

The money

What does an off-road booking cost you on a platform?

GetYourGuide supplier commission runs 20 to 30 percent, and 30 percent is the default for a new operator. A booking that comes to you directly is the whole ticket.

Choosing the bi-weekly payout adds roughly 2 percent on top of the standard rate. Viator publishes an 8 percent travel-agent commission, which is a different thing from what it charges an operator, and it does not publish a single supplier rate at all. Read your own agreement instead of assuming.

GetYourGuide rates: OTA Playbook. Viator agent commission: Viator Agent Resource Center.

LEAD / 01

The visitor who is already here

Three days into the trip, standing at the resort, deciding what to do tomorrow. They type it into a phone. Whoever they can reach right then gets that seat at full price.

LEAD / 02

The one who found the platform first

They booked through a platform because that is what came up. If your own page had appeared beside it, that booking is yours, and so is the one they book next year.

LEAD / 03

The one name the assistant gives

Ask an assistant for the best off-road tour in Aruba and it names two or three operators and stops. There is no list to scroll past. Being one of those names is the entire job.

LEAD / 04

The group that needs four vehicles

A family of eight, a bachelor party, a company outing. Bigger bookings, planned ahead, and they arrive as a message rather than a call. They go to whoever answered the search.

What changes

What changes for your off-road operation.

Your own booking page becomes findable next to the platform listing, your seats become bookable in one tap, and every request that arrives gets counted.

01

You get found for the activity, not the category

UTV tour, jeep safari, natural pool, Arikok. Those are the words a visitor types. A general car rental page catches none of them, which is exactly why this page exists separately.

02

Your direct price gets a chance

A visitor who only ever sees the platform listing has no way to know booking direct is possible. When your own page shows up beside it, some of them choose it.

03

Every booking request is counted

Calls, WhatsApp messages and booking requests, one number a month. No contracts, and you stop at the end of any month you want.

Leads, not likes. If it is not a real person trying to buy from you, it does not go in the count.

Before you ask

Questions off-road operators ask.

Can I keep my activity platform listing and still take direct bookings?

Yes, and you probably should. The platform is a shop window you do not control. The point is to stop paying 20 to 30 percent on the visitors who searched for a UTV tour in Aruba and would have found you anyway.

How many off-road and UTV operators are there in Aruba?

We found at least seven actively marketing themselves, starting from Aruba's own tourism site. There is no public licensing register to check that against, so treat seven as a floor rather than a total.

Is this different from what you would do for a car rental company?

Yes. A car rental company competes on airport pickup and daily rates. An off-road operator competes on the experience: Arikok, the natural pool, the caves. Different searches, different visitors, different pages.

Do I need a booking page of my own, or is the platform listing enough?

The platform listing is enough to be sold through. It is not enough to be found directly, and a visitor who never sees a page of yours has no way to book without the commission attached.

Am I locked into anything?

No. It is month to month, you can stop at the end of any month, and everything built for you stays with you: your listing, your page, your number, your reviews.

Operator count starting point: aruba.com jeep and car rental page, cross-checked against individual operator sites. A lower bound from search visibility, not a licensing register.
